Abraham "Bram" Stoker (8 November 1847 – 20 April 1912) was an Irish novelist and short story writer, best known today for his 1897 Gothic novel Dracula. During his lifetime, he was better known as personal assistant of actor Henry Irving and business manager of the Lyceum Theatre in London, which Irving owned.

Biography of Beatrix Potter

#nomorolemodel Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) was an English author, illustrator, natural scientist, and conservationist best known for her children's books such as those in The Tale of Peter Rabbit (1901), which she wrote for the five-year-old son of her governess. She was happily married but the couple were childless. Beatrix's conservation efforts and generosity were a key factor in the creation of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Her home 'Hilltop' is now owned by the National Trust.
