Olympic champion Ben Maher has been crowned the leading riding at the London International Horse Show, 2012. Britain’s very own Ben, 29, won four classes on four horses during the competition at Olympia. Pictured here on Tripple XXX.
this is such a good jumping position. it’s just chilled, no throwing the reins at the horse, no leaning on the neck. in an ideal world a little bit more release would have made it even better but it’s balanced and neutral and it’s so great. no stress.
Ben Maher and Tripple XXX III win the iconic King George V Trophy at RIHS, Hickstead 2013. (Noelle Floyd.com) The historic King George V Gold Cup is one of the most prestigious prizes in British showjumping. Held annually at the Longines Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead, the grand prix class was open to male riders only until 2008. Although lady riders have been eligible to compete for the past 5 years, none have managed to add their names to the winners’ list so far.
