38. Rubber Soul was my very first Beatles album. I picked it up at a thrift shop in Oklahoma City sometime in the mid-70s for maybe 50 cents. It was, of course, the US edition, and from the first chiming notes of the intro to "I've Just Seen A Face," I was hopelessly hooked, and have been ever since. Beatles 4-Ever!
The Moody Blues first came to prominence playing rhythm and blues music, but their second album, Days of Future Passed, which was released in 1967, was a fusion of rock with classical music and established them as pioneers in the development of progressive rock. They have been awarded 18 platinum and gold discs. Their album sales total 70 million.
I grew up as a 90s baby singing this album thanks to my awesome dad. He showed me what quality music sounded like first chance he got. That's something I'll always remember and will pass down to my kids
