'The Death of General Wolfe at Quebec 1759' This study was made for a painting Romney exhibited at the Society of Artists in 1763 when he was trying to establish a reputation as a history painter. The finished picture is now lost. General Wolfe was killed in battle when commanding the expedition against Quebec in 1759.

Boot Monument is a Revolutionary War memorial in Saratoga National Park. It commemorates Major General Benedict Arnold's service in the Continental Army, but does not name him.The monument commemorates Arnold's contribution to the Continental Army's victory over the British in the Battle of Saratoga. Arnold was wounded in the foot during the Battle of Quebec, and suffered further injury when his horse was shot out from under him. A leg wound ended his career as a fighting soldier.
