Applebee's social media faux pas a 'learning experience'
An employee at Applebee's posted a picture of a receipt on social media. As a result, that employee was fired for violating policy. The issue: Applebee's had done the same thing two weeks prior. The company received major backlash and their reaction was to become defensive and argumentative, going as far as deleting negative comments and hiding previous posts. Emily Pollack
