This is a quote from an activist named Nelson Mandala. He was someone during this time period who really impacted the Civil Rights era. He changed peoples lives in Little Rock Arkansas for the better. For example, African Americans lives like Liz were improved because earlier in time it was difficult for her and her family members to deal with society but now African Americans are treated more equally.
The mark you leave behind won't be COLORED it will be remembered by deed not appearance ... the soul returned to the Source... will hold every color ... and it will account for every deed regardless of color ... the only entity that worries over the superficial is mankind... THINK about it
Prejudice against skin colour is idiotic (doesn't mean it's not happening). However I think we need to try and take the debate up a level. The real clash now is between cultures. I believe in toleration of all sorts of opinions, but not cultural relativism (all cultures have something to offer though). The advancement of human culture depends on a bias towards humanism, reason, objectivity and the scientific method. Is that a racist thing to say because it is against religious belief? How?
* No One is Born Racist* - This is a very strong photo. It shows us that racism is made not born. It is not in our nature to be racist but in the way we are raised or nurtured. It shows us that simply teaching our children to respect others can stop racism in time. #racism #MadeNotBorn #YouCanMakeADifference
