The elusive Scottish Wild Cat is a tough character and one that has endured the worse weather and conditions thrown at it. Peter Cairns has managed to photograph this shy creature and has a very interesting website called the Highland Tiger which informs the reader about the difficult task of tracking and monitoring this endagered animal.
Abyssinian Kitten - The Abyssinian is one of the oldest breeds of pedigree cat and was one of those exhibited at the very first cat show held at the Crystal Palace in 1871. It is generally agreed that this breed originated in Egypt, and certainly the ticked coat pattern would have been the perfect camouflage for wild cats living in the dry, scrubby North African habitat.
Cute and true! Remember that when dogs look away or turn away it's a sign of respect or submissiveness, unlike with humans. So the "look at me when I'm talking to you!" doesn't always work. @Ashley Wink
