Sgt. 1st Class Roberto C. Skelt, 41, of York, Fla., was killed Wednesday (2/12/2014), the Department of Defense said. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group and died from wounds suffered when he was struck by enemy small-arms fire in Kapisa province, the Defense Department said in a news release.
Army SSG Matthew Q. McClintock, 30, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Died January 5, 2016, supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel. Assigned to to 1st Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Buckley, Washington. Died of wounds sustained when hit by enemy small-arms fire while conducting combat operations in Marjah District, Afghanistan.

Army SSG. Jeremie S. Border, 28, of Mesquite, Texas. Died September 1, 2012, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Torii Station, Japan. Died in Batur Village, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with small arms fire.
Army SSG. Justin C. Marquez, 25, of Aberdeen, North Carolina. Died October 6, 2012, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 1st Special Forces Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died in Chak District, Wardak Province, Afghanistan, of gunshot wounds suffered while on dismounted patrol.
Army Sgt. 1st Class James F. Grissom Died March 21, 2013 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom 31, of Hayward, Calif., assigned to 4th Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; died March 21 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, of wounds caused by small-arms fire March 18 in Paktika province, Afghanistan.
