Battlecruiser HMS Renown as she appeared in April 1940 during her inconclusive engagement with battleship sisters Gneisenau (which she hit twice) and Scharnhorst off Norway, in very heavy weather. She received two 11 in hits herself. Unlike her sister Repulse (which was not as extensively modernized) she survived the war.
