(NYSE: UHS) announced today that its reported net income attributable to UHS was $172.8 million, or $1.71 per diluted share, during the fourth quarter of 2014 as compared to $124.5 million, or $1.24 per diluted share, during the comparable quarter of 2013. The Department of Defense (DoD) announced this week that it was down-selecting the bids for the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) Request for Proposal (RFP) to replace its Electronic Health Record (EHR) with a commercial product. Five proposals were originally submitted for this project, and DoD just announced that it would be focusing on three proposals going forward.
