The application was successful and the group secured funding of £170,000 to deliver the growing space. We developed the detailed design and managed the construction contract on site. The project was completed in October 2010, and has been a leading light in the Glasgow growing space movement. Client: Shettleston Housing Association

Initially, our Client wanted us to “retrofit” innovative design solutions to the external spaces surrounding a recently completed Health Centre building in North Glasgow. The brief required the provision of health benefits and active green space adjacent to the new building. The idea of promoting fitness and exercise was initially put forward by erz, which led to the Urban Gym Wall concept.
