CAMBRIDGE LOVER'S KNOT TIARA ~ FROM THE ROMANOVS TO PRINCESS DIANA Two were made, one for a Romanov, one for Princess Augusta of Hesse-Casse, grandmother of Queen Mary, who commissioned a copy for herself. A French neo-classical design, with 19 openwork diamond frames with an oriental pearl drop. Each arch is below a lovers knot bow. Queen Mary left the tiara to her granddaughter Elizabeth II, who gave it to Diana, as a wedding present. On her divorce, it was returned to HM The Queen.
