Ash Open Plan Staircase With Timber Stub Risers
When you have a large window with a staircase in front, it can be a detractor from the amount of light that you are getting into the room, and negates the point of having such a large window. They used American White Ash to brighten the room to make it look as spacious as possible. In combination with the open treads, the client wanted glass balustrade.
Ash Spindle Staircase
Here we have a ash staircase with softwood treads and risers that is 95% complete. Once this staircase has been carpeted it will be a feature for this hallway.
Cut String Staircase With Wrought Iron Spindles
This staircase is a standout feature in the statement hallway, blending seamlessly with the room's design while drawing attention. The colour scheme, featuring oak treads and handrails, white risers and strings, and black wrought iron spindles, creates contrast in both colour and texture. The matt finish of the white contrasts with the textured black, enhancing visual interest. The wrought iron spindles break up the timber elements, providing a unique balustrade choice
Ash Cut String Staircase Wrought Iron Spindles
Our customer desired a colonial-style staircase with light hardwood and metal spindles to complement their hallway and first-floor landing. We used American White Ash for its manipulatable quality, facilitating easy whitewashing to match other timber elements in the house. The metal spindle design, inspired by art deco, alternates plane and rectangular shapes, coated in black powder. An open stringer enhances the colonial style, allowing the balustrade to extend down to the treads. The underside is plasterboarded instead of storage cupboards, and a small area is dedicated to the customer’s dog with a cozy bed.
Ash Staircase Renovation Embedded Glass
When faced with an outdated staircase and a clear vision from our client, we embarked on a transformative staircase renovation project. The customer sought to replace their heavy, original balustrade with a lighter alternative that would harmonize with their envisioned wall aesthetics. Our solution involved the creation of an embedded glass balustrade, precisely tailored to evoke the desired sense of openness and lightness. Additionally, we proposed covering the existing string with American White Ash lining, a choice that not only complemented the client’s vision but also added a touch of sophistication. The final touch came with a meticulous varnish, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood and making the staircase truly stand out.
Ash Central Spine Staircase
The staircase is made of stained solid American White Ash and has a white wash french polish to match the flooring throughout the property. The complimenting balustrade is a 17.5mm thick laminate glass, fixed in place to the side of the treads and to the landing areas.
Ash Staircase With Embedded Glass
This staircase was designed to be the feature of the hallway whilst still allowing for the maximum amount of light into the room as possible. In order to best achieve this we elected to design an open plan staircase with glass balustrade.
