At DTQ Designs we specialise in both traditional and contemporary staircase design and manufacture. We are able to turn any shape for newels, newel caps and spindles and we can supply any specialist glass and fittings for contemporary staircases. We are also experts in loft conversion staircases, where often the space available to fit a staircase, is limited.

The Dtq designs team is working on the final details for a very modern black Valchromat staircase to be fitted with LED lighting system underneath the handrail. We do a lot of staircases at DTQ and we think we're pretty good at it! Valchromat is becoming increasingly popular as it is incredibly hardwearing and comes in numerous colours.

Staircase consists of four straight flights. Designed and manufactured in first grade European Oak by DTQ designs in 2012. Throughout this project we worked alongside our client to provide a simplistic and traditional design made luxurious by the use of panelled Newel posts, feature builnose and curtailed bottom treads and heavy 57mm stop fluted spindles. We also designed and made the front door to this property from a brief set out by our client.

Due to a larger size of this stair we increased the sectional detail on the newel posts, used shadow lines for our detailing and supplied glass and fitting from one of our many specialist suppliers.
