Orangeries by David Salisbury
An Orangery provides a more substantial extension than a conservatory, it is suitable for certain types of listed buildings and, if it is sympathetically designed, can be granted planning permission even in a conservation area.

Orangery Featured in the Press | Country Life Magazine 12th February 2025
This striking orangery has been featured in the 12th February issue of Country Life which is out now. As an interior designer, our client Urquhart Interiors had a discerning eye for detail, and her passion for impeccable design was evident from the outset. The desire was to create a space that was functional for family living, while also serving as a sophisticated backdrop for entertaining. Our designer was able to work closely with our client to understand their specific needs and aspirations for the space, ensuring that the design was tailored to their lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.

Orangery extension
Our brief was to create a larger living room space for this family home by designing a unique orangery for this customer. We also ensured plenty of natural light filled the space, as well showcasing the beautifully tendered gardens. The result is a bespoke orangery full of original details that make the most of its proportions and aesthetics.

Bespoke orangery for Tudor Home
This bespoke orangery seamlessly extends a Tudor-style home in Berkshire, creating a spacious living area that connects the kitchen to the surrounding gardens. Measuring 7.1m by 6.4 m, the orangery featured three sets of French doors that provided access to the garden. A particular design feature is the cruciform bar fenestration on both the windows and doors which provides an understated but luxurious style. For the painted timber joinery, the subtle off-white shade of Eagle Sight was chosen from our own unique colour palette, and which complements the home's character. This project exemplifies how thoughtful design can harmoniously blend indoor and outdoor spaces. Visit our website and download our latest brochure for more orangery case studies
