How to Blend Essential Oils
While, yes, certain essential oils smell better together than others and certain oils have properties that synergize nicely for the effect your looking for, I don’t believe there is one correct way of blending oils. In my opinion, the best way of learning to blend essential oils is by experimenting. In this article, I’ll give you guidelines to help inform this process of creating your own personal essential oil blend.
Using Essential Oils in the Shower
I remember the first time I tried to use essential oils in the shower. I lived in a tiny apartment with no bath tub and a low-pressure shower that didn’t drain very well. I wanted to spruce up my somewhat sad showering experience, so I googled “how to use essential oils in the shower”. Most of the articles I found gave recipes for shower bombs and melts that involved ingredients I didn’t have (not to mention a kitchen bigger than a closet) and took a lot of preparation.
Flea and Tick Repellent Spray for Dogs
Each of the above oils has been known to be useful for repelling pests from dogs. In this section, I’ll share a recipe for a Flea and Tick Repellent Spray that I have personally found to be effective for the dogs in my life. Of course, feel free to experiment with different combinations. If your dog is very sensitive, I recommend adding a few extra ounces of water to dilute the solution a bit or reducing the amounts of essential oil.
