Gadwal Sarees: Gadwal saris are traditionally characterized by their cotton bodies and silk borders. They are one of the few genres of saris to use the “kootu” technique (this is the same technique as the kanjivaram “korvai”) to interlock two warps of different material i.e. Silk in the border and pallu, and cotton in the body.
