Exceptional Arts & Crafts Display Cabinet C.1900
Exceptional Arts & Crafts or Art Nouveau display cabinet c.1900. Bow fronted display top featuring leaded glass doors with scores of individual glass panes. Fitted inside with a single shelf (max internal depth 11") and retaining the original velvet lining fabric. Over an open serpentine fronted shelf and a two door cupboard below fitted with two shelves inside (depth 12") and flanked with two tall niches. Fabulous decoration to the door panels which are inlaid with an Art Nouveau plant design in contrasting woods and mother of pearl.

A Charming Arts & Crafts Oak, Wrought Iron & Leather Stool. Possibly from the Jugendstil School. The contrasting navy blue and red rectangular leather top with stud detail standing on carved and painted oak supports. The leg supports being a particular feature, almost carved to replicate the human form with lovely polychrome paint. The whole joined by a smart wrought iron frame. Provenance: From the Cornish Estate of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy Author John le Carre’ (David Cornwell 1931-2020)

Small Edwardian Arts & Crafts mahogany side table c.1910. Of singular design, maker unknown but very much in the manner of Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. Solid mahogany throughout. The overhanging top with a moulded edge. Over an unusually pierced apron, raised on square legs tapering to shaped feet joined with H stretches, also pierced.

Rare Arts & Crafts Antique Oak Dresser By Henry Woodyer
A very rare antique oak dresser by Henry Woodyer for Twyford Moor House in 1861. Woodyer was an English architect, the only pupil of William Butterfield, who was a disciple of Pugin and The Ecclesiological Society. This antique Woodyer sideboard was one of only a few, free standing pieces in the Twyford Moors House, Winchester. Made in solid oak in the Gothic Revival manner to match the house, the chiffonier features open oak shelving over a large, two door cupboard. The chiffonier was limed along with other existing furniture in 1933 after the house became a hotel. A very rare piece with such super provenance, beautifully made in a quality rarely seen today. In excellent condition.
