Bright Colour Wall - DIY painted spots instead of wallpaper

This is something everyone can do. Grab a paintbrush and add random spots of colour all over your white wall. The contrast looks fantastic and it adds a fresh, fun look to your room. I used colour dyes mixed with chalky mineral paint to achieve these muted colours but acrylic would work just as well.

Love colour? My heart is so much happier when I see a splash of colour (but only if it’s teamed with white). I created a rainbow bannister to contrast with my white walls. The house is a mess but hopefully you can see it worked out quite well. I used a mineral paint with various paint dyes to get this look without needing to buy a pot of each coloured paint.
