Completed late last year, the brief for this project called for an exterior seating area which was eye catching, but practical. A key feature was our use of Navy PP chairs. Made from a hard wearing plastic, these side chairs are durable, easily maintained and come in a range of colours from the bright to the more subdued. Considering the amount of light and already colourful views the use of colour in this project was toned down near the patio doors. Here light blue smith sofas with a buttoned finish offer a smart, yet comfortable aesthetic. Contract Furniture Group - Best Western Mount Pleasant Hotel, Doncaster
With the structural work already in place, this project was all about finding the perfect furniture to fill the space. Dove chairs feature an Aztec like zig zag pattern, offering a vibrant contemporary aesthetic. Fixed seating is more subdued, with deep red colouring on a smart fluted design, punctuated by bursts of colour from artistically decorated cushions. The resulting interior feels lively and modern without straying into gaudiness, perfectly befitting the hotel's luxury reputation.
Contract Furniture Group - Sushimania, Charing Cross
This project involved a large amount of interior design work, with relatively little use of existing furniture designs. One which did make the cut was our Tokyo High Stool. With it's gentle curves, inspired by Japanese architecture, it fit perfectly into the environment we were trying to craft. A short time ago we had the pleasure of furnishing Sushimania's first takeaway location. Every feature offers a blend of style and practicality. Beam like light fixtures allow most decoration to be hung from the ceiling, offering a striking visual and keeping the floor clear for foot traffic. Blue tiles behind the bar are attractive and easily maintained. In this project we decided on reclaimed timber table tops, with a rustic finish which suited the former print hall setting of the restaurant. Our range also includes laminate, stainless steel and a number of alternative wood options incl. oak and walnut. The brief for this project called for outdoor furniture which would capture people's attention as they walked by. To achieve this Contract Furniture Group installed brightly coloured Navy PP Chairs. The bright colours not only fulfil the eye catching element of the brief, the specific colours reflect the restaurant's Mexican theme. Omega armchairs with white faux leather upholstery offer elegance whilst providing maximum comfort. Elsewhere omega high stools provide a cosy perch from which to enjoy a drink at the bar. Our Arkan Driver and Cortina chairs provide the perfect addition to any retro environment, as seen in our renovation of The Cow on the Hill restaurant in Holiday Inn Birmingham Bromsgrove. Solid beech tables in a walnut stain add to the aesthetic, as do the fitted seats installed by our team, upholstered in crest leather. Tasked with installing furniture to suit a very contemporary setting, our work at Waka provides an excellent chance to see some of our furniture in action. Fiera Armchairs were installed upholstered in colourful, Peruvian inspired fabric in keeping with the Peruvian/Japanese fusion theme. No. 1 Canal Street Restaurant, Manchester
The brief for this project was to create a relaxed dining experience which could move into a more high energy experience later in the evening. We kept the furnishings very soft for this one, with deep button fixed seating and Lille Armchairs, as well as work on the venue itself to give it a stylish finish. With a pretty broad brief we were free to use our imagination on this one. Lots of yellows for a warm atmosphere, alongside use of marble and bronze aged mirrors on the walls to provide a sense of elegance.
