Colonel Rudolph-Christoph Freiherr von Gersdorff (1905-1980) was a career officer and graduate of the Prussian Military Academy. He joined the Abwehr and served as intelligence liaison officer to Army Group Center. He become a close friend of leading Army Group Center conspirator Colonel Henning von Tresckow who recruited Gersdorff into the conspiracy to assassinate Hitler.
