A very beautiful French emerald and diamond brooch, by George Fonsèque Art Nouveau, ca. 1910s. The brooch consists of two intertwining parts, each respective part set with trapeze cut emeralds in yellow gold and old cut diamonds in white gold. The total diamond weight is approximately 6 carats and the total emerald weight is approximately 5 carats. The brooch, which can easily be worn as a pendant, is a very attractive and appealing congruent and eternal symbol. The workmanship is of a very fine quality, with artistic accents such as the floral arrows and the curved setting of gemstones. The brooch has French assay marks and maker marks for George Fonsèque.
