The Pastry World Cup is both the most challenging and prestigious competition in the world for pastry chefs. The Finals pit 22 countries from around the world in a contest that lasts for 10 gruelling hours. In this time each team has to produce 2 chocolate desserts, 2 frozen desserts, 22 plated desserts, an ice sculpture, a chocolate sculpture and sugar sculpture. The competition is filmed and aired by several French TV channels and is often filled with both excitement and drama.
