It’s DAY 12 of our 21 day cross stitch challenge and today we’re cross stitching on a classic hessian bag! 🌷 This was surprisingly easy to stitch on and we didn’t need any additional waste canvas. 🪡 Use a size 18 needle (the chunky metal ones we include in junior kids kits) and push it through the side of the bag. You will need to tie a decent knot when you start and finish a piece of cotton. 🔔 5 things we learned from cross stitching on a cushion cover! I got this cushion for £3 from a charity shop. I used 6 different shades of @dmc_embroidery thread and stitched with all 6 strands and a size 18 needle. Using a cross stitch, I covered the cooled glue giving a 3D effect and personalised finish - perfect for my daughter's bedroom. Thanks @flynn_and_mabel for the glue gun idea! We've discovered over this challenge that you can literally stitch on anything! 🪡 Obviously it makes it a lot easier if the ite m you're stitching on has some sort of a grid. Switch up your "thread" depending on the thickness needed. Even with wools or yarns, there are different compositions and thicknesses. We chose blue here for a @cornishware vibe! 💙
