Thunderbird Rider - This miniature Royal Enfield rode all the way from Kochi to Chengannur to surprise Mr. Biju C Thomas on his birthday. He was thrilled to see his sugar miniature on his very own Thunderbird 500. Thank you Ms. Reshmi Raveendran for considering ‘Cake Canvas – happiness in a box’. Mr. Biju loved his cake so much that he preserved the miniature bike along with its rider in Glass Vacuum Chamber.

It was pure fun watching them discuss the kind of cake they wanted….one moment of bulb flashing, they wanted a Tom and Jerry cake with their heads substituting the animated stars….the next moment they wanted a very romantic caricature in a very filmy pose.

A life shared, a birthday shared - Children come up with the best surprises ever. They will go to any length to see the radiance of a smile on their parent’s face when they are pleasantly surprised. Granted, you cannot easily surprise the two people who raised you from day one, but one can surely try to succeed. I hope Priya did get her wish when she presented her lovely parents this caricature cake for their shared birthday celebrations – their birthday falls on adjacent days.

Little Ehaan loves the character Olaf from the movie Frozen. His parents surprised him with a sweet depiction of the one year old with his favorite toy and to add to the fun, wanted 12 Olaf cupcakes to surround the cake.

Cheer in Double Dose For her wedding, Bhavya wanted a caricature of both the bride and groom. The cake travelled all the way to Bengaluru for the reception. Playtime Tom n Jerry, the terrible two keeps visiting kids around the globe to spread their infectious brand of tireless cheer. This time, the occasion was Aryan’s 1st birthday. His mom Ashwini and I narrowed down a long list of superheroes and cartoon friends to the frolicking favorites. The cake, along with the miniature Aryan and his friends travelled all the way to Bengaluru by train in the safe hands of his uncle.

Year 25 Dimple wanted caricatures of her parents Latha and Raju Cyril for their 25th wedding anniversary. She ordered this cake after seeing the excitement of my uncle and aunt when they saw their likeness in a cake. This cake was a surprise and we just got word that the silver couple were mega excited on seeing the cake. As for Cake Canvas, we are happy to continue the tradition of delivering Happiness in a box.

Lead, kindly light Racing shadows they don’t matter, They could be clouds or mad hatter, In your light I can go on Forever, my lord my master. The eyes are the most difficult part of a caricature. Especially when all the forwarded pictures of Freya were chirpy, happy, smiling ones. Piety in her eyes were borrowed from imagination. Happiness in a box was commissioned for Freya’s First Holy Communion and 9th Birthday by her parents.
