Cake Canvas - happiness in a box

God Bless Johaan A dove, came a visiting my nephew Johaan fluttering it's white white wings on the day of his First Holy Communion. A lot of messages hit my inbox seeking how the dove was animated... It was made out of thin wafer paper and a gentle breeze makes it flap its wings.

Lead, kindly light Racing shadows they don’t matter, They could be clouds or mad hatter, In your light I can go on Forever, my lord my master. The eyes are the most difficult part of a caricature. Especially when all the forwarded pictures of Freya were chirpy, happy, smiling ones. Piety in her eyes were borrowed from imagination. Happiness in a box was commissioned for Freya’s First Holy Communion and 9th Birthday by her parents.

Archangel Michael ponders; mysteries even the right hand of the Mighty cannot unravel. On little Mikhail’s baptism, unseen to all, would have floated the majestic Archangel whose name he bears. Gleaming sword by the hand and white wings of justice keeping him aloft.

In Divine Company- Elegance was the underlying theme requested for the first holy communion of Miriam. This was another instance where the idea was left to the imagination of the artist. Now, simplicity and elegance are a wondrous couple as I have stated before. But to entwine both to make a thing of beauty which also has to have a shimmering halo of piety around it ? A tricky one, this.
