Laura Nicolson, Brand McKenzie
Textile and Interior Designer Laura Nicolson began her career studying Printed Textile Design at the Edinburgh College of Art. Her passion for textiles grew while serving as a Senior Print Designer at a renowned textile company in London. She later established her own interior textiles label, focusing on contemporary-classic fabric and cushion designs derived from her own artwork. In addition to designing her own collection, Laura has also designed exquisite wallpapers for us! We are thrilled to have her on the team 🎉✨

Kareen Murray is an emerging talent in the textile design industry, known for her unique artistic style. After graduating from Heriot-Watt University in May 2020, Kareen launched her own brand, drawing inspiration from the picturesque Scottish coastal town she calls home. Kareen is a valued member of our design family!
Melanie Orzechowska, Brand McKenzie
With her experience working for renowned textile designer Zandra Rhodes, and a background in fashion and interior design, Melanie Orzechowska is an excellent fit for Brand McKenzie. Originally from Yorkshire and now residing in Devon, Melanie graduated from Northumbria University. Passionate about traditional printing and craftsmanship, Melanie uses old school techniques in her design process, giving her work a unique, hand-crafted, homemade signature style.
Ella Peters, Brand McKenzie
British wallpaper and textile designer, Ella Peters, refined her skills at the Royal College of Art, specialising in printed textiles. Winning the prestigious Heal’s Discovers Award in 2008 marked the start of her career. She has since collaborated with renowned brands including Osborne & Little, Heal’s, Marks & Spencer, and Crabtree & Evelyn. Inspired by nature's beauty and natural history, Ella works with a distinctive blend of colours to create images that captivate the eye. We are delighted to have Ella on board!

Meet Lou Collis, a brilliant textile designer and illustrator who calls Bristol her home. With eight years of experience at Harlequin under her belt, she knows a thing or two about creating stunning wallpaper and fabric designs, and brings this expertise to her freelance work. Lou's designs are a love letter to nature and are crafted by hand using gouache paint for details that will make your heart skip a beat, or inks when she wants to let loose and go wild!
