Ben Fearnside: Expansion Cracks

The Expansion Cracks series is recent work, showing at Gallery 40 in the Brighton Festival 2017. Most work is available for sale, commissions welcomed in the same style. Bronze, copper, iron and gold, combine with shellacs in a rich light-responsive finish. The cracks are recessed beyond the surface of the painting: the depth is not just an illusion, it's real.
