Café Zartl in Vienna
Where good grandkids treat their grannies to cake: Spearheading a row of townhouses between the Danube Canal and Rasumofsky Palace, Café Zartl decided to stop the clock long ago. Its outdated interiors are endearing, and the Wiener Melange perfectly pairs with (fresh!) homemade apple strudel. Rarely seen in the central cafés, Café Zartl still attracts its old guard of chess and card playing seniors. For more coffeehouse tips check out our blog post and Vienna coffeehouse guide.➡️
