Man o' War. A horse out of legend who was real, who shattered records while carrying enormous weights at a young age and who could not be touched on the race track even though he rarely was allowed to run his full rate of speed. Tall, thin, with a stride length of an enormous 29 feet. He tended to chew his hooves and sleep lying with his head poking out from under the stall's half door, so he could see what was coming.

When Samuel Riddle was offered a million dollars for Man o' War, he answered that "lots of men have a million dollars, but only one can own Man o' War." Now this is a photo of a mare that you don't see too often, Man o' War's dam, Mahubah. It is said that he got his good personality from her, as his sire, Fair Play, was a difficult one.
