2 islands 1 holiday in the Azores
Stay in Terceira’s historic capital Angra de Heroismo: a charming city with UNESCO-protected architecture and delightful Azorean restaurants. It’s also one of the best-connected cities in the Azores, with weekly direct flights from the UK, Boston and Toronto, and daily flights from Lisbon. Enjoy a whale and dolphin watching trip and explore the island’s volcanic landscapes on a jeep tour. Then fly to Sao Jorge for three nights in the Velas: the island’s main harbour town.....

Exploring the Parque Natural de Terceira
With direct flights to Terceira, why not spend a week exploring the Parque Natural de Terceira on our Terceira Guided Walking Holiday? Our licenced guides Tiago and Isabel will lead you along their very own ‘off-piste’ network of trails, through lauralsilva and juniper forests, and the criss-crossing lava flows which are gradually being claimed by the island’s plants and animals.....

Azores Winter Escape
"They usually say it started with a kiss but in fact it all started with what seemed like a good idea. In fact, anything that would: (a) get us out of Coventry (b) get us some winter warmth and (c) gives us some peace, quiet and solitude, was a good idea!" writes Richard Le Mare and Alison Payne - read more about their Azores Winter Escape with us!

Here are 15 more activities you may not have known you can do on Sao Miguel

Relaxing in the Azores
We love discovering new places to stay, and while Jake was in the Azores, he and his family spent some time at Mosteiros Place. This group of six apartment ‘pods’ at the north-western tip of Sao Miguel opened just last year and the location is stunning; perched high up above the town and westward-facing, the huge floor to ceiling windows invite you to gaze over the rocky stacks just off the coast and out to the endless Atlantic Ocean beyond.

Stay in Europe's western-most guesthouse
Stay in Europe's western-most guesthouse, the Argonauta on Flores island in the Azores. The owner is an Italian resident who is a photographer and island enthusiast. Jake loves the bohemian style with original floral frescos from the 1930’s on the walls and woodwork from a vessel shipwrecked off Flores’ western reefs.
