The Catacombs of Paris contain the remainders of approximately six million Parisian! Opened in the late 18th century, the underground cemetery became a tourist attraction on a small scale from the early 19th century, and has been open to the public on a regular basis from 1874.
Borthwick Castle. Ann Grant, a peasant from a nearby village, was impregnated by one of the Borthwick lords. The lord ordered her captured and imprisoned in the what is today known as the Red Room while he decided what to do about this unfortunate situation. After months of cruel treatment, he decided the only way out was to murder her. He sent henchmen armed with swords into the room to butcher the poor girl and her unborn child. Their remains were bricked up within the walls of this room.
The Last Drop in Edinburgh. Near the site where public executions took place this pub is said to be haunted by a small girl in medieval clothing. She has been spotted on several occasions in the bar area and also the cellar. Poltergeist activity has been reported and also shadows passing through the bar.
