Traditional Commedia Masks. Colombina, the maid. She is a high-spirited servant girl, vivacious – some would say crafty. In the wild and woolly world of the Commedia, Colombina often seems to be the only one who really has her wits about her. Better dressed than male servants: mob cap and apron, skirts usually fell just below the knee. Neckline of bodice low and often frilled. Initially strong and attractive like a circus artist.
