Artist, Helga Weissova-Hoskova, was imprisoned in the Thereisenstadt Ghetto of WWII. In 1963, she created this art, entitled: "Women and Children Being Sent on a Transport from the Terezin (Theresienstadt) Ghetto."
Lizzie van Zyl - Who died in the worlds first ever concentration camps in which Britain killed 27 000 Boer women and children(24000) during the Second War of Independence (1899 - 1902). "She was a frail, weak little child in desperate need of good care. Yet she was placed on the lowest rations and so perished with hunger. She was treated harshly. The English disposed doctor and his nurses did not understand her language and, as she could not speak English, labelled her an idiot.
Pere Lachaise cemetery i had this on my say what board, & then this was brought to my attention. It is QUITE grim but it is the memorial statue that was placed in Pere LaChaise Cemetery in remembrance of the victims of the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. It is purposely grim as to reflect the horrendous conditions at that place.
