The Stone Roses - in the summer of 1992, my cousin's then-bf gave me a mixed tape of his that had Toad The Wet Sprocket one one side, and The Stone Roses on the other side. I'd never heard of these bands before - and totally fell in love with the music. It was the perfect anthem for all those ups and downs you go through as a teen. Still love those songs.

500 Greatest Albums of All Time

No 498: The Stone Roses, 'The Stone Roses': The Stone Roses seem to have whizzed past me in the wake of the 80s jumping to the 90s - what a jem of an album that is definitive of the Nineties Brit Pop era. (4 stars)
