"Glen Terrace in 1925 and more recently. The old photo shows how Manchester Rd formerly followed the line of the terrace, crossing the swingbridge in a straight line. Not many years later a new bridge was built to replace the swingbridge, but further to the right (so that it was outside of the dock locks), causing the familiar kink in Manchester Rd."
